Japan Festival

Hosted by the Japan-America Society of Houston, the Japan Festival is an annual celebration of Japanese culture held in Hermann Park. Enjoy the rich cultural heritage of Japan with traditional and contemporary performances of Japanese music, dance and martial arts, Japanese/Japanese-inspired food, as well as demonstrations and displays of Ikebana flower arrangement, tea ceremony, origami, bonsai and more.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday, Sept. 6, and Sunday, Sept. 7, the Japan Festival brings about a reaffirmation of a commitment to Japanese and Japanese-American traditions, both old and new. The event is FREE and open to the public. Vendors will be charging for their food items and merchandise. Participation in select activities will require a fee.
