Enjoy the spooky season at our Halloween Movie Night in the Commons on Saturday, October 26. Get your Halloween costume on and join us for this free event on the lawn that includes a showing of the 90's classic Casper, movie snacks, food trucks, a buy one get one carousel deal, and more!

Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and get settled in for a spook-tacular evening in Hermann Park. The showing will start at 7 p.m., but make sure to get to the Commons early to snag your spot.

The showing is free to Park visitors, and free popcorn will be provided on a first-come first-served basis. A variety of food trucks will be on-site serving meals and treats for purchase as well.

From 6 - 9 p.m., the carousel will offer an exclusive buy one get one free ticket deal for this event.

Casper is a kind young ghost who peacefully haunts a mansion in Maine. When specialist James Harvey (Bill Pullman) arrives to communicate with Casper and his fellow spirits, he brings along his teenage daughter, Kat (Christina Ricci). Casper quickly falls in love with Kat, but their budding relationship is complicated not only by his transparent state, but also by his troublemaking apparition uncles and their mischievous antics.

Parking Options:

Parking Lot S along Main Street, next to Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church. From this parking lot, cross Fannin Street at Cambridge Street into Hermann Park.

Parking Lot A off of the circle drive around the Sam Houston Monument. From this parking lot, walk south along the path to the Commons. Along this route, the Japanese Garden will be on your left and Fannin Street to your right. 

Parking Lots E, F & G in front of Lake Plaza and the Houston Zoo entrance. From here, walk the paths to the west along McGovern Lake to the Commons.

Memorial Hermann Medical Plaza Garage (Winpark) located at 6400 Fannin Street, which is across the street from the Commons site. There is a daily fee to park in this garage on the weekend.
