SUMMARY:Hermann Park Conservancy Town Hall Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Harris Health has proposed condemning 8.9 acres of Hermann Park for the expansion of Ben Taub Hospital. Hermann Park Conservancy is hosting a town hall to share information about the proposal and to offer the community an opportunity to ask questions. \nThe meeting will include remarks from Cara Lambright\, President and CEO of the Hermann Park Conservancy; Dr. Esmaeil Porsa\, President and CEO of Harris Health; and Matthew Urbanski\, a partner at Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates Inc.\, the landscape architects responsible for Hermann Park’s master plan\, followed by a Q&A with the audience. \nHarris County Commissioners Court will hold its Chapter 26 public hearing in January\, as required before any dedicated parkland can be considered for another public use. A vote on the proposal is expected in March. \nAll are welcome to attend. We invite the community to review the proposed expansion at the link below and to submit advance questions for the Town Hall HERE. Advance questions will help us organize and group similar topics. Time will also be reserved for live questions during the meeting. \nPlease visit our FAQs page HERE for more information on the proposed expansion and its impact on Hermann Park.
